How to Use Your Roll off Dumpster
Okay, it seems pretty obvious: toss your junk over the side. Done. But we do have a few pointers that will help you get the most out of your New Haven dumpster rental.
- Save your PTO: When you order, let us know where you want your dumpster placed. Make sure that space is clear and accessible to the hauler, with at least 20 feet of overhead clearance, and you won’t even need to be home for delivery.
- Don’t forget about the front-loading door. It comes in handy for items too bulky or heavy to throw over the side!
- If you need to have your roll off placed on the street or in a spot where it will obstruct a public sidewalk, make sure to fill out and file the necessary permit from the city first.
- Remember that appliances/electronics, mattresses, box springs, and tires cost $25 per item to be disposed of in our dumpsters. This covers the landfill’s disposal fee for such items.
- As you work, fill your dumpster evenly to the best of your ability. This will help you stay within your weight limit.
- Make sure to call us to schedule pickup BEFORE the end of your 10 day rental period. In order to avoid interrupting you in the middle of the job, we DO NOT automatically pick up dumpsters after 10 days.
